Trains in Prague cost free for seniors 70+
Up to now, seniors older than 70 years couldn't use trains in Prague cost free. Since 31.7.2010, these passengers can buy Opencard with application Senior 70+, and travel for free in trains across Prague. One time fee for this application is 20 CZK for 4 years (supposed card validity). The start of validity is optional, first the day of 70th birthday of the user.
The innovation at Karlovo náměstí metro station
The Prague Public Transit Co. have installed a test version of a new information and navigation system pilot project at the metro B station on Karlovo náměstí.
Prague Integrated Transport - summer holiday operation
Each year, Prague's integrated transport system operation changes according to changed transport demands. During workdays, metro operation is reduced by about 15%, tram service during peak workday times by about 20%, and bus operation by about 10-15%. Saturday and Sunday operation remains almost unchanged compared to regular times of the year.
